How alternatives compare to Barrington
Backyard Discovery Arlington 12x10 Cedar Gazebo
The Arlington model shares the 12 by 10 foot footprint and cedar frame but weighs 726 pounds, making it heavier than the Barrington. It stands 122 inches tall, offering slightly more headroom than the Barrington’s 119-inch height. You get a walnut finish instead of the standard brown. This structure targets snow-prone areas with its robust build. It lacks the Barrington’s integrated PowerPort outlets, so you must bring your own power solution. If you prioritize structural mass over built-in convenience, this is a solid alternative. The extra weight suggests a sturdier anchor point is needed during installation.
Aoxun 12' x 16' Wood Gazebo
This Aoxun unit expands your space to 12 by 16 feet, providing significantly more square footage than the Barrington. It weighs only 370 pounds, which is much lighter than the Barrington’s 642-pound frame. The double roof design and gray cedar finish offer a different aesthetic. You gain width for larger gatherings but lose the specific 12 by 10 footprint. The snow-rated galvanized steel roof provides durable coverage. This option suits those who need a wider entertaining area without the heavy weight of solid wood posts. It is a practical choice for spacious yards where maximum coverage is the priority.
YITAHOME 12x20ft Aluminum Hardtop Gazebo
The YITAHOME gazebo shifts to an aluminum frame, reducing the weight to just 257 pounds. It offers a massive 12 by 20 foot footprint, doubling the length of the Barrington. The double roof style and brown color mimic the traditional look while providing modern durability. Included netting and curtains add privacy features you do not get with the Barrington. You trade the natural cedar feel for rust-resistant aluminum. This model is ideal for larger patios where you need extra space and insect protection. The lightweight design simplifies assembly, though the larger footprint requires more yard space.
Oasisphere 10x12 Cedar Wood Gazebo
The Oasisphere model is smaller at 10 by 12 feet, weighing only 309 pounds. It features a double roof design with galvanized steel, similar to the Barrington but in a more compact form. The natural cedar finish offers a classic look. You gain better ventilation and a lower profile at 108 inches tall. This is a better fit for poolside areas or smaller decks. It lacks the heavy-duty snow load rating of the Barrington. If you need a lighter, more versatile structure for moderate weather, this alternative provides good shade without the bulk. The narrower width makes it easier to fit in tight spaces.
Domi 12x14 Cedar Hardtop Gazebo
The Domi 12 by 14 foot gazebo offers a larger footprint than the Barrington while weighing 454 pounds. It features a double roof and galvanized steel, providing robust weather protection. Included netting and curtains add privacy, a feature absent in the Barrington. The cedar wood frame ensures durability. You get more interior space and enhanced privacy features. This model is heavier than the YITAHOME but lighter than the Barrington. It suits buyers who want a permanent upgrade with integrated privacy solutions. The double roof design improves ventilation and aesthetic appeal. It is a strong choice for those needing extra room and shade control.
Garvee 10' x 10' Hardtop Gazebo
The Garvee 10 by 10 foot gazebo uses an aluminum frame, weighing only 199 pounds. It features a polycarbonate roof, which differs from the Barrington’s steel hip roof. Included netting and curtains provide insect protection and privacy. The compact size makes it ideal for small patios. You sacrifice the large footprint and heavy-duty snow rating for portability and rust resistance. This model is best for buyers who prioritize ease of assembly and insect control. The polycarbonate roof allows natural light while blocking rain. It is a practical, lightweight option for limited spaces where a full cedar structure is not feasible.
