Who it fits

Key specs explained for this pergola

Size: 10×10 FT

The footprint measures 115 inches wide by 117 inches deep. This square layout fits standard patio furniture sets comfortably. You get enough room for a dining table and chairs without overwhelming a small backyard. If you need more space for large gatherings, consider the 10×13 FT option available from this brand. This size balances coverage with structural stability.

Roof Material: aluminum

Aluminum is lightweight yet strong, resisting rust and corrosion better than steel. You do not need to paint or seal it annually. It holds up well against humidity and rain without warping. This material keeps maintenance low, making it ideal for busy homeowners who want a durable structure that retains its appearance over many seasons without constant upkeep.

Adjustable Louvers: 90°

The roof slats rotate fully open or closed via a control device. Open louvers let in sunlight and air for warm days. Closed louvers block rain and direct sun for cooler conditions. This flexibility lets you adapt the space instantly. You can enjoy outdoor dining in the rain or shade in the heat without moving your furniture or using umbrellas.

Wind Resistance: 32-38mph

The structure is rated to withstand winds up to 38 miles per hour. This capacity covers most standard weather events in many regions. It provides confidence during breezy days or moderate storms. For areas prone to hurricanes or severe gales, you should secure the structure or take precautions. Always check local wind codes before installation.

Design and build details

The structure uses an aluminum frame and roof. This material choice supports a weight of 229 pounds. According to the listing, the frame surface is sprayed gray. This finish resists dirt and adds durability against outdoor elements. You get a sturdy base anchored with coarse screws. This setup helps the pergola adapt to various weather conditions without becoming loose. The design prioritizes stability for long-term patio or backyard use.

The overall dimensions are 115 inches wide by 117 inches deep. The height stands at 88.5 inches. This square layout provides ample space for outdoor dining or leisure. The adjustable louvered roof opens to 90 degrees. You can control this feature with a device to let in sunshine or close it for rain protection. A drainage system channels water away from the area. This function reduces rainwater deposition on the top surface, keeping the space drier.

Wind resistance is rated at 32 to 38 mph. This capacity ensures the structure remains secure in moderate breezes. The listing also includes dark curtains and nets. You can pull up the curtains for privacy or rain protection. The nets help prevent insects from entering. These accessories are disassemblable for easy cleaning. This combination of materials and features offers a practical solution for outdoor living spaces.

Setup and everyday use

Setting up this 10×10 FT pergola involves anchoring the aluminum frame to your chosen surface. The listing specifies that you use coarse screws to secure the bottom of each supporting column. This method ensures the structure remains stable and does not loosen, even in varying outdoor weather conditions. The total weight of the unit is 229 pounds, which adds to its grounded stability once installed. You will need a suitable patio, backyard, or garden area that can accommodate the 115-inch width and 117-inch depth footprint.

Everyday use centers on the adjustable aluminum louvered roof. You control the louvers with a device included in the package. You can open the roof to 90 degrees on sunny days to let in light and air. On rainy days, you close the louvers to keep the area dry. The design includes a drainage system that directs rainwater from the roof to the ground, reducing pooling on the top surface. The frame is rated to withstand wind speeds between 32 and 38 mph.

For added comfort, the package includes dark curtains and insect nets. You can pull up the curtains for privacy or to block rain. The nets help keep insects away from your seating area. Both the curtains and nets are detachable, allowing you to remove and clean them easily. This setup provides a flexible outdoor space for dining, leisure, or work.

Before you buy this pergola

You should verify your local wind codes before installation. The listing states a maximum wind resistance of 32 to 38 mph. If you live in a high-wind zone, this limit may be too low for safe year-round use. You must also check your surface type. The coarse screws require a solid foundation, such as concrete or thick decking, to anchor the frame securely. Loose soil or wood may not hold the anchors well.

Maintenance is straightforward but necessary. The gray spray finish resists dirt, but you should still clean it periodically to prevent buildup. The included curtains and nets are detachable, which helps with cleaning. These accessories add privacy and insect protection, but you may need to replace them over time due to sun exposure.

Compared to other options in this guide, this model focuses on adjustable shade and rain protection. If you prefer a fixed roof or simpler setup, other listings might suit you better. Consider your need for adjustable louvers versus permanent cover when comparing.

Check before you buy

• Check local wind speed limits against the 32-38 mph rating.
• Ensure your surface can support coarse screw anchors securely.
• Verify that the 10x10 FT footprint fits your patio space.
• Confirm you have storage for detachable curtains and nets.
