Frame Versus Curtain Comparison
Product type
You are comparing two distinct outdoor structures. The COBIZI unit is a complete 10x20 pop-up canopy tent. It includes a heavy-duty steel frame, a roof, and six attached sidewalls. You get a self-contained shelter ready for use. The Covered Outdoor product is a replacement accessory. It is a set of six privacy curtains designed for 12x20 gazebos. It does not include a frame or roof. You need an existing gazebo structure to use these curtains. One is a full system, while the other is an add-on component for another structure.
Size and dimensions
The size specifications differ significantly between the two items. The COBIZI canopy measures 10 feet wide by 20 feet long. Its width is listed as 118 inches, and the length is 236 inches. The Covered Outdoor curtains are designed for a 12x20 footprint. Their width is 144 inches, and the length is 240 inches. The curtains are wider than the COBIZI frame. If you plan to use these curtains on the COBIZI frame, they will not fit properly due to the width difference. You must match the dimensions of your existing structure to the product specs carefully.
Frame and build
The COBIZI product features a thickened powder-coated full-truss steel frame. The pipes are 1.26 inches thick with a 0.03-inch wall thickness. This frame supports intermediate poles that hold 220 lbs each. It is designed to withstand level 4 winds up to 18 mph. The Covered Outdoor product has no frame data provided. It is a fabric curtain system that attaches to existing poles. It relies on your current gazebo structure for stability. The COBIZI offers a robust, engineered frame, while the Covered Outdoor option provides no structural support data of its own.
Roof and fabric
The COBIZI canopy top is made from 420D Oxford fabric with double PU coating. It blocks 99% of UV rays and offers UPF50+ protection. The seams are fully sealed for 100% waterproof performance at 2.1 psi. The Covered Outdoor curtains are also made from high-quality material with sun protection and waterproofing. They feature anti-scratch properties and high color fastness to prevent fading. However, the COBIZI includes the actual roof covering, while the Covered Outdoor product only provides side walls. You get a complete weather barrier with the COBIZI unit.
Sidewalls and privacy
Both products offer sidewalls for privacy and wind protection. The COBIZI includes six removable PU-coated sidewalls. Four have windows, and two have zippers. They attach via full-length hook-and-loop strips. The Covered Outdoor product includes six universal privacy curtains. These use sliding hooks and loops for easy adjustment. You can move them to control sunlight direction. The COBIZI sidewalls are integrated and zippered for secure attachment. The Covered Outdoor curtains offer flexible positioning on existing poles. If you need a complete set with windows, the COBIZI is more comprehensive.
